Some West Brom fans have taken to social media to show appreciation and rewatch Callum Robinson’s “brilliant finish” versus Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

Robinson scored the opening goal in Saturday’s Championship meeting between West Brom and Nottingham Forest. This game resulted in spoils being shared between the two sides, as they played out a 2-2 draw.

Some Baggies fans have taken advantage of the opportunity to rewatch the Irish international score the opening goal in Saturday’s fixture, showing their appreciation for the finish as the club posted the goal to their official Twitter account.

West Brom supporters have been full of praise for the 25-year-old’s finish, which also happens to be the forward’s first goal for the Baggies. Robinson signed for West Brom on a loan deal until the end of the season in January from Premier League Sheffield United.

What do we think?

Robinson immediately stated his intention to continue scoring for West Brom now that he has gotten his tally off the mark for the Championship leaders. In an interview after Saturday’s game, Robinson declared that he hopes “a few more can follow now”. The 25-year-old forward had managed to score just one Premier League goal with Sheffield United this season prior to his January loan move to The Hawthorns.

Despite struggling for goals in the top flight this season, Robinson has proven to be an asset in attack for Championship clubs in the past. Last season, he scored 12 Championship goals for Preston, ending the season as their joint-top scorer in the Championship alongside his fellow Irish international Alan Browne.

That Preston side finished in 14th place in the Championship last season. Given Robinson’s relatively impressive record with PNE, he may go on to score plenty of goals for league leaders West Brom between now and the end of the season.
