Fans of Stoke City have been reacting to Tyrese Campbell’s post on Twitter, in which the 20-year-old praises his side for their efforts in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Cardiff.
The striker has been in fine form for Stoke since the turn of the year, scoring four goals and providing two assists for the Potters in 2020.
One Campbell’s assists came on Saturday, as Stoke defeated Cardiff 2-0, thanks to an own goal by the Bluebirds’ Callum Paterson as well as a second-half Joe Allen strike.
The result sees Stoke climb two places in the table from 21st to 19th. However, due to wins for both Wigan (22nd) and Barnsley (23rd), the result does nothing to ease their relegation concerns, with the Potters remaining four points above the drop-zone.
Regardless, Stoke fans were delighted with the result, as well as the efforts made by Campbell, taking to social media to thank the frontman.

Great 3 points, and another good performance from you. Bit unlucky in front of goal, but just keep attempting those half chances mate, the goals will come. Don’t back off, keep going for them! So pleased you’re getting a decent run of games.

What do we think?
Campbell has become an integral part of Michael O’Neill’s Stoke side this year, having played sporadically and typically off the bench at the start of the season.
He is currently Stoke’s joint second-highest league goalscorer this season, with six goals to his name in just 11 starts for the club.
If Campbell can maintain his current purple patch, he could be the difference between Championship or League One football for Stoke next season.
