Some Sheffield Wednesday fans have been left to fume after Dom Howson’s latest tweet following their loss to Luton Town.
Wednesday’s unimpressive Championship form continued in midweek as they fell to a 1-0 defeat to the Hatters away from home. James Collins’ first-half goal proved enough for it, as Garry Monk’s men remained in 12th position in the table.
Should Monk be sacked now?
He deserves to leave
No, give him a chance
Sheffield Star journalist Dom Howson tweeted, saying that the Owls fans were chanting ‘you’re not fit to wear the shirt’ when the tie ended. It left many Wednesday fans fuming and they’re angry about the performance.
They are right. People on here asking for Hutchison etc. Joke. Likes of Bannan turning up when he fancies it. Too many has beens. My daughter’s U7s team have more mental toughness than this joke of a side. Embarassing.

All those travelling fans deserve a medal. This club don’t deserve them.

Wednesday’s last win in the league came in early January when they beat Leeds United, and that is the only win they’ve picked up over the last nine Championship games. Prior to the loss to Luton, they were held to draws by Barnsley and Millwall.
This slump in form has come about after a period which had seen the club remain unbeaten in a run of six games. They had picked up four wins and two draws and had beaten promotion hopefuls like Nottingham Forest and Bristol City before Christmas.
What do we think?
It is fair to say that Monk and Wednesday deserve criticism for what has been a poor run of form. But previous evidence from this very season shows that the team is good enough to get on a run of games. Sticking with Monk may yet be the wise option.
