A few days after winning the Old Firm on December 29, 2019, Rangers announced a trip to Dubai. The trip would see Rangers play in a friendly match against Lokomotiv Tashkent.

The trip was scheduled during a period when the players were enjoying a couple of weeks off between competitive matches.

Since that trip, however, Steven Gerrard’s team have failed to win in three of their nine games. It has set them back in the league, with the Gers now 10 points behind Celtic with a game in hand.

During Rock Sport’s Talking Football podcast, Hugh Burns suggested that something happened during Rangers’ trip to Dubai that has caused unrest in the Rangers camp (Talking Football 13/02/2020 – 42:05).

Burns went on to claim that strong sources throughout the city of Glasgow all agree that something went on that shouldn’t have.

In response to these rumours, reliable Rangers source Four Lads Had a Dream indicated that no issues occurred in Dubai and that the players are simply going through a rough patch. Here is how some fans reacted to this news.

At the end of the day, whether there was a bust-up or not, the Rangers players haven’t come back from their trip the same. It could prove to be a vital point in their season and could see them lose out on winning the league title.
