Rangers fans will be hoping to see Alfredo Morelos return to his goalscoring ways tonight against Braga in the UEFA Europa League. The striker has scored 14 goals in total during the competition’s qualifying rounds and group stage.
However, the player has only scored one goal in 2020, a worrying statistic for the man who seemed unstoppable in the later stages of 2019.
Rangers’ official Twitter gifted the fans a gif of the Colombian yesterday as the side prepared for the Braga match at Ibrox. The gif shows Morelos walk past the camera before backtracking and showing the fans the peace sign.
But the fans are worried. They feel like a ban is incoming for the striker. They claim that the actions he showed in the tweet were offensive and horrific. Spoiler – they were being sarcastic.
That gesture is just horrific

What does he mean by that gesture though? Is he threatening to cut somebody’s hair?

What would be a worse punishment for Morelos?
A lifetime ban from football
An hour with Chris Sutton
What do we think?
Of course, these tweets are riddled with sarcasm. The supporters are clearly referring to the comments made by Chris Sutton after Morelos was sent off against Celtic in the most recent Old Firm. Sutton posted an article to the Daily Record, condemning Morelos for making a ‘throat-cutting gesture’ to the Celtic fans after his dismissal from the game.
The supporters are clearly poking fun at Sutton for getting bent out of shape after Celtic lost the Old Firm.
It’s all in good fun… isn’t it?
