After 84 minutes had passed in their match against Hibernian, Rangers found themselves drawing 1-1. A first-half stoppage-time goal from George Edmundson had pulled the game level, however, a winner eluded Steven Gerrard’s team for a majority of the second half. That was until Ianis Hagi popped up to slot home his first goal for the Gers in the 85th minute.
And while even a tap in would have probably sent Ibrox into a frenzy, Hagi’s stunning volley across the face of goal resulted in an eruption of applause from the home support. After the match, the club posted footage of the goal on Twitter. The fans thought the strike was a thing of beauty, but it was the passion from his celebration that they reference the most in their replies to the footage.

I actually love how it took him a moment to soak in the eruption of Ibrox before he actually celebrated. He looked shocked My Romanian Prince

What did you enjoy more?
Hagi's goal
Hagi's celebration
Of course, though, there was always going to be someone who was in awe of the strike itself.
Amazing goal. Shows the technique he had he could have easily took a touch and shoot but to shoot from that at such an important time of the shows his composure. Hopefully he continues to impress. #7

What do we think?
The first goal from Hagi was beautiful, and it will almost certainly not be his last. Don’t quote us on that though. The fans will savour this one, however, as it meant so much to them on a day where they looked like dropping points yet again.
