Saturday’s draw against Aberdeen was a heartbreaking occasion for many Rangers fans. The dropping of points took Rangers’ chances of winning the title further from their reach as the gap at the top widened to seven points over the weekend.
But the match also brought up a burning question in the minds of many Rangers fans. They can’t understand how Sheyi Ojo, who is valued at £1.8 million (as per Transfermarkt), manages to consistently find himself featuring under Steven Gerrard. Some think there must be a clause in the loan agreement that states Ojo must play a certain number of minutes. One fan even calls him the worst Rangers player to ever pull on the jersey.
Ojo has got too be up there with one of the worst players I’ve seen in a rangers jersey ??

Never want to see Ojo play again. Disgrace how Gerrard keeps playing him.

We have an absolute talent on the bench and Ojo comes on What are we doing

Honestly don’t know what ojo brings to the table. There must be some sort of clause that says he needs to play so many games. That’s the only thing I can think of why he would get any where near our team.

Do you think Ojo has been a failure for Rangers?
Yes

No

Another fan reflects on the signing, insinuating that there are always going to be a few unsuccessful purchases. One suggests that Ojo fades away in games, just like a ghost.
We’ve made some good to decent signings but most of them have been awful. For every Barisic there’s an Ojo,Barker etc.

What do we think?
Ojo’s loan to Rangers ends at the end of the season. Then he will head back to Liverpool, where his future will be reconsidered. His current stint at Rangers hasn’t been a huge success, with the player scoring just once in the league, despite making 19 appearances.
