Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to Joe Worrall’s post on Twitter, in which the 23-year-old confirms signing a new contract with the Reds.
The centre-half has been ever-present in the Reds back-four this term, starting all 32 of their Championship games.
The England U21 international tweeted: “Happiest lad in Nottingham. Hugely proud to sign a new contract for the club I love.”
Likewise, Forest fans on social media have been equally pleased, with many taking the time to congratulate their home-grown defender.

What do we think?
Playing an integral role in the heart of defence, Worrall’s performances have hugely contributed to Forest’s lofty league position this season. With the Reds conceding just 31 goals so far – the third-least in the Championship – the Englishman will look to maintain his impressive stats of 1.3 interceptions, 5.1 clearances and 1.3 blocks per game (as per WhoScored), and in doing so, give the Reds the best possible chance of finishing in the automatic promotion places.
