Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United side have won just two of their last six Championship fixtures, and with 16 games remaining, they will need to improve on their recent poor form if they’re going to lock down an automatic promotion spot.

Last weekend saw the Whites suffer a shock home defeat at the hands of Wigan Athletic and several days later, the post-mortem regarding what went wrong is continuing.

Striker Tyler Roberts came on as a second-half substitute on Saturday – replacing Ezgjan Alioski – and his performance left quite the impression on some of the Leeds fans.

What do we think?

Tyler Roberts is a product of West Bromwich Albion’s youth academy but made the switch to Elland Road in January 2018 for £2.57m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).  The 21-year-old has been limited to just 11 appearances in the Championship this season, most of which have come as a substitute.

Converting opportunities has been a problem for Marcelo Bielsa’s side of late and although many of these supporters feel Roberts could provide an alternative solution, he’s not exactly been prolific.  He’s scored just four goals in 42 appearances for the Whites and before his arrival, he only managed six goals in 35 appearances for West Brom’s Under-23s.
