Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has started 93% of their Championship fixtures this season, but it seems some fans remain frustrated with the striker’s form. From that statistic alone, it’s clear that Marcelo Bielsa has great faith in the 26-year-old, but has the former Chelsea striker justified his regular selection?
Whilst some supporters believe he will eventually repay the Argentinian for persisting with him, others aren’t convinced there is anything more to come from the forward.

What do we think?
Patrick Bamford, who is valued at £5.4 million (as per Transfermarkt), has scored 12 goals in 29 league appearances so far this season, but the argument he’s not prolific enough may come from the fact that he has averaged 3.7 attempts per game – the joint-most in the Championship (via WhoScored.com). Despite having so many opportunities, he remains seven goals behind the Championship’s joint-top goalscorers Ollie Watkins and Aleksandar Mitrovic.
