A lot of Leeds United fans were left fuming as their side were denied a penalty in the Whites’ 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.
Phil Hay tweeted that Jack Harrison was brought down by Adam Clayton and said that it was ‘either a penalty or a dive‘ but that it was ‘quite obviously a penalty‘.
The Athletic reporter then confirmed his suspicions in a follow-up tweet by saying that the replays showed a clear trip by Clayton on Harrison.
This decision did not go down well with many Whites fans, who were fuming that their side were not given a spot-kick.
Another penalty shout after Harrison goes down under a Clayton challenge. That's either a penalty or a dive but quite obviously a penalty. Not given. #lufc

What do we think?
Having looked at the footage taken from the away end, this seems a like a foul by Clayton on Harrison.
However, luckily for Leeds, it did not matter as Mateusz Klich scored his fourth goal of the season against Middlesbrough to earn a third 1-0 win in a row for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Leeds could perhaps have won by a wider margin, but they will take that result and now look ahead to Hull City at the weekend.
