A lot of Leeds United fans were very confused at Marcelo Bielsa’s comments after the Whites drew 1-1 with Brentford.
The Argentine claimed that his side played better against Nottingham Forest than they did against the Bees, and this totally confused these Whites fans.
Do you agree with Bielsa?
Yes
No
From Bielsa:
– happy with the display but thought Leeds played better at Forest
– no comment on Casilla's position but says he's shown his confidence in Casilla by picking him repeatedly
– said in response Frank's pre-match comments that Leeds took risks and played with no fear.— Phil Hay (@PhilHay_) February 11, 2020

Played better at forest ? He makes my head hurt at times

Baffled. We were woeful at Forest, we were brilliant tonight. I watched the full 90 of both. Any explanation on how we were better at Forest?

We were awful against Forest. Surely that was lost in translation?

Dont agree with that first point at all, in what ways does he think game v Forest we played better?!

What do we think?
Leeds against Forest had 70% possession, 13 shots and only one on target – which was a Liam Cooper header that was cleared off the line by Brice Samba. (1:38)
On Tuesday, the Whites had 67% possession with 13 shots and six on target.
Maybe Bielsa was still trying to defend his side from Saturday, but even Hay himself believes Leeds were better on Tuesday, and the Whites could have left Griffin Park with all three points if Kiko Casilla had not made an awful error. (0:45)
Leeds finally scored form a corner as Cooper grabbed his first of the season.
As well as this, they created several other chances, including one that Helder Costa perhaps should have buried. (1:58)
So, it seems that Bielsa is wrong to say that his side played better against Forest.
