Some Celtic fans have been discussing how teenage superstar Erling Braut Haaland would have fared at the club.
The young Norwegian grabbed an impressive brace for Borussia Dortmund recently, helping them to a 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League. Haaland had joined BVB this past January, despite reports linking him with a move to Manchester United. It was reported that the demands of Mino Raiola saw United back away from signing the former Red Bull Salzburg striker.
As things stand, the Dortmund man is valued at £54 million by Transfermarkt.
Do you have regrets about missing out on Haaland?
Can't help but regret it
No, we've got Edouard
When a Hoops fan made an admittedly bogus claim over Haaland, it got many Celtic fans talking. Although the claims were just a bit of fun, most Celtic supporters responded in good spirits – seemingly oblivious to the more concrete links to the youngster from 2016, as well as in 2018 (Aftenposten via 67HailHail). Here’s how the fans reacted:

Impossible to nail these players. Between the age of 16 – 18, players mature at a rate of knots.

Guy would have left Celtic by now anyway, he’s going straight to the top and he’ll do anything to get there

What do we think?
Celtic fans should not have too much regret over not being able to sign Haaland, as they’ve scored 79 goals in the Premiership this season. That is the highest tally in the league.
As per a Daily Record article from early February, Celtic had scored the most number of goals in Europe. They had surpassed Haaland’s former club Salzburg themselves. It shows that Celtic are fine without Haaland and are perhaps not missing out on much.
