Some Celtic fans have been talking about Virgil van Dijk and his comments about the Hoops’ title charge this season.
The Hoops recently picked up a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock in the Premiership, while their closest title challengers were held at the weekend.
Before the game though, Van Dijk talked to BBC Scotland about how he still follows Celtic games and keeps an eye on ‘how things are going’. The Dutchman also said that he’s sure that the Hoops will win the title this season.
Do you want Van Dijk back at Parkhead?
Why not, he'd be brilliant
Lets move on
CelticBible relayed these quotes on Twitter and it left many Hoops fans raving.

That’s a welcome endorsement of the efforts of the team and the strong position they are in but until it’s mathematically impossible for the title to be lost it would be foolish to become complacent

Van Dijk had been at Celtic from the summer of 2013 to the summer of 2015 when he had joined Southampton in the Premier League.
What do we think?
During his time at Parkhead, Van Dijk had made 115 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. He scored 15 times and also had seven assists to his name.
It is therefore no surprise that Celtic fans still remember the Dutchman fondly. His comments about the club winning the Premiership once again will surely delight them.
