Some Celtic fans have been raving at a video that the Europa League’s official Twitter account sent out about goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
Forster was involved in the Hoops’ recent Europa League game against Copenhagen. He also started for the club in their recent 3-1 win over Kilmarnock in the Premiership.
The goalkeeper saved a penalty against Copenhagen last Thursday, helping the game end at the 1-1 scoreline. The Europa League Twitter account posted a video of Forster’s penalty save and it got a reaction out of Celtic fans.
Should Forster be a transfer priority for Celtic?
Yes, we need him
No, we should prioritise elsewhere
While some raved, some asked the account to delete the video until the club signs Forster permanently.
Delete that quick… We haven’t signed him on a permanent yet

One fan even suggested that Celtic are trying to sign the goalkeeper, which appears to be correct as it has been reported that the Hoops hope to snap up the Englishman on a permanent deal in the summer.
We’re trying to sign him! Wait till we sign him then post shhhhh

Wow. That looked like it would have gone in off the post if Forster had missed it and we would have said it was unsavable

Against Copenhagen, Forster’s one save in the game was the penalty from Jens Stage in the second half.
The Englishman joined the Hoops on loan from Southampton in the summer in what is his second spell at Parkhead. He left Celtic for the Saints in the summer of 2014, joining the Premier League club for a fee of £10 million.
What do we think?
Forster’s Whoscored rating for the Europa League campaign stands at 7.14 and it shows that he’s enjoyed a very good season so far in Europe.
While the fans may be right to have fears over the video driving his asking price up, Forster is already thought to have agreed to take a wage-cut to join the Hoops permanently in the summer. That should come as a huge positive for them.
