Some Celtic fans have been left to rage about the performance of Ryan Christie in the club’s Europa League game against Copenhagen.

The Hoops were held to a 1-1 draw in Denmark by Copenhagen but Odsonne Edouard got a vital away goal for Neil Lennon’s men. The home side had to come back from a goal down to restore parity in the second half.  The second leg of the tie takes place in Glasgow on Thursday next week.

Did Christie put in his worst performance in a Celtic shirt?

Yes, it was honking

The game saw Christie start out wide. And after the game, many Celtic fans were left angry by his performance.

So far this season, Christie has made 39 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. He has racked up a tally of 18 goals and 15 assists for the Parkhead-based side. In 21 Premiership games, he has contributed to just as many goals for the club.

What do we think?

As per Whoscored, Christie was dispossessed as many as four times last night. He was also dribbled past on five occasions, completing three dribbles himself. It shows that Celtic fans were perhaps right to slate him for the performance and he deserves the criticism.
