Some Celtic fans have been left to once again slam the club’s right-back Moritz Bauer – stating they don’t want him to play first-team football.
Bauer was recently involved in Celtic’s Scottish Cup win over Clyde, starting the game at right-back. However, he didn’t feature in the side’s recent 5-0 win over Hearts in the Premiership.
Should Bauer be signed permanently?
Not a chance that happens
Yes, he can be a good back-up
Recently, ReadCeltic asked Hoops fans about whether they want to see the Stoke City loanee play more often. They feel that he isn’t good enough for the Parkhead-based outfit.
I’m not satisfied he gets any game time at all

Definitely 3rd in the pecking order but thought he was decent against Clyde. His movement and pace doesn’t compare to frimpong.

No- bang average. Not what we need.

Due to being a poor player.

Bauer joined Celtic from Championship side Stoke in the summer on a temporary loan deal till the end of the 2019/20 season.
In the ongoing campaign, the right-back has made only 13 appearances in all competitions for the club. Nine have come in the Premiership, with three coming in the UEFA Europa League for the Hoops. He has two Premiership assists to his name.
What do we think?
With fellow summer signings Jeremie Frimpong and Hatem Abd Elhamed slowly getting back to full fitness, Bauer may not play much. Celtic’s recent change of shape could explain why he has not played a single Premiership game this month, with his last league start coming against Ross County in late January. That shows that Bauer might only be a bit-part player going forward.
