Some Celtic fans have been left angered by the comments of Gary Caldwell, who has said that Steven Gerrard’s men are better than the Hoops.
In an interview that he gave to BBC Sportsound, Caldwell revealed that the Gers are a match better team man-for-man than his former club.
The former Bhoys defender went on to say that the Gers’ lack of know-how lets them down in the title race.
Are Rangers better than Celtic?
No chance at all
I'm afraid they are
When a Hoops-related page ReadCeltic posted these comments, it left many Celtic fans raging. They can’t believe what Caldwell said.
He’s just another lap dog not a single thought that’s his own

Making a judgment based on the last 2 glasgow derbies. Perhaps he should be looking at the last 9 years (minimum).

And we wonder why he can’t hold down a managerial post!

His managerial career tells you he knows next to nothing about football, best to ignore him.

BBC Sportsound also relayed these comments and that also got a reaction out of Celtic fans.

Gary Caldwell has had the sack more often than Postman Pat

Caldwell was at Parkhead from the summer of 2006 until January 2010. He made 134 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops, scoring four and assisting four mainly from the centre-back position. Upon leaving Celtic, he joined Wigan Athletic in the Premier League.
What do we think?
The Hoops are at the top of the table and have a 10-point lead over Rangers. A total of three games have been played between the two sides, with Celtic winning the League Cup final and one Premiership clash earlier in the season.
That suggests that Celtic may be a better side than Rangers, and Caldwell’s comments were a little misguided.
