Some Celtic fans have been poking fun at the latest Twitter post of Michael Stewart following their 4-0 win over Motherwell in the Premiership.
The Hoops kept their lead at the top of the table to seven points as they beat Motherwell by a convincing margin on Wednesday. Odsonne Edouard grabbed an impressive brace, while a goal each from Leigh Griffiths and Callum McGregor set the Hoops on their way to the win.
Is Stewart right about Edouard?
Yes, he knows best
No, Stewart is clueless
After the victory, former Hearts player Stewart posted an appreciation for Edouard. Many Hoops fans used the opportunity to poke fun at the 38-year-old, who had come under fire for comments made on BBC’s Sportsround regarding Rangers’ director of communications Jim Traynor, following Alfredo Morelos’ recent interview with Sky Sports.
You ARE allowed to say that Michael? I mean, was there anyone there from Motherwell to defend themselves at the time you wrote it!

Stewart was recently in the centre of controversy. The BBC had refused to publish a video of him talking about the Daily Record and a story that they had supposedly published about Alfredo Morelos. According to the publication, Stewart had inaccurately claimed that the Daily Record had reported that the brakes of the striker’s car had been tampered with.
The BBC had also recently apologised for Stewart’s remarks about Traynor, which alleged that Morelos’ recent interview with Sky Sports was a PR stunt related to the alleged incident involving the Colombian’s car, according to The Scottish Sun.
However, Stewart’s post drew some positive attention from Celtic fans. They hailed him for an honest opinion.
Honest pundit being honest

Good to see you on the show Michael being honest as ever

What do we think?
Putting the Traynor-Morelos controversy to one side, Stewart was certainly talking facts in his tweet about Edouard. The French striker deserves praise, especially considering how he has scored 23 times and has a tally of 16 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions for the Hoops this season. As per Transfermarkt, his value has risen considerably since he became a Hoops player. In that sense at least, Stewart may be right to offer him praise – though it seems fans had little interest in his kind words for their striker.
