Some Celtic fans have been lauding the latest Twitter post of striker Leigh Griffiths.
The Hoops frontman recently liked a post of a sectarian nature in regards to Celtic’s rivals. It had happened after Celtic had beaten Hearts 5-0 in the Premiership, which gave the Hoops a 10-point gap at the top of the table.
Do you agree with Griffiths tweet?
Yes, it was an honest mistake
No, he can't do that
Griffiths was quick to issue an apology after what had happened, and the fans lauded the Scotsman for what he wrote in the tweet.
Better having an under cover account, they’ll take anything for a story
Shut them up on the pitch
Keep enjoying your football

An honest mistake Leigh. It happens a lot in Scottish Fitba.

No need to apologise.

It’s just them trying to deflect from other events. Laugh

Keep banging in the goals wee man that’s the real reason the haters are hurting

After the abuse you’ve took I’m sure you’re allowed one back. Super Leigh Griffiths.

This season, Griffiths has made a total of 25 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. He has scored seven goals during this time, also racking up three assists on the way.
Griffiths had taken a break from the game in the second half of last season, revealing he was suffering from mental health issues. He was recently involved in a controversy when Griffiths was seen throwing tape at a Kilmarnock fan – something he later apologised for.
Griffiths had come under the spotlight once more when he had deleted his Twitter account after posting a cryptic GIF on social media earlier this year.
What do we think?
Griffiths is human and humans make mistakes. He’s stated that liking that tweet about Rangers was a mistake – and perhaps that’s all there is to this story.
