Some Celtic fans have been talking about the speculation linking their midfielder Callum McGregor to Leicester City recently.
The Scottish Sun have recently reported that Leicester are looking to make a move for McGregor in the upcoming summer transfer window. The report states that while Brendan Rodgers’ men are braced for an offer from Manchester United for James Maddison, Rodgers wants McGregor regardless of whether the England international leaves or not.

McGregor has been a regular in midfield for the Hoops this season. He has made 46 appearances in all competitions for the club and has a tally of 11 goals and 10 assists for them. In the Premiership, he has played as many as 28 games.
The midfielder has played a total of 4,116 minutes of first-team football for the club – the highest under Neil Lennon for any player this season.

The number of minutes McGregor has played is proof of how important the player is to Celtic. His goal contributions reflect that too, and the comments of Celtic fans show that they know how important McGregor is. If they can sell him, they would therefore likely need to sort out a replacement as soon as possible, or they could end up missing McGregor.
