Some Celtic fans have been hailing a tweet that Superscoreboard sent out about the club’s captain Scott Brown.
Scottish football pundit Hugh Keevins recently told Superscoreboard that Brown is the ‘biggest replacement headache’ for the Hoops since Henrik Larsson left the club. He also called him ‘a born winner’ and that he’s the best Celtic captain since Billy McNeill.
Is Brown the best captain in Celtic history?
He's top of the list
Not the best yet
When this post was shared by Superscoreboard, it left many Celtic fans raving. They feel Brown deserves the credit for all he has done for the club.
Club legend without a doubt! Been incredible.

This season, Brown has made 45 appearances in all competitions for the club. 27 of them have come in the Premiership and has scored two league goals. In all competitions, his goalscoring tally stands at five goals, with one assist.
The midfielder joined the club from Hibernian in the summer of 2007 for what was then a Scottish record fee in the region of £4.4 million. As per the Guardian, Tottenham, Rangers, Everton and Middlesbrough were also after Brown at that point.
Since signing, Brown has played a total of 561 games for the Parkhead-based outfit.
What do we think?
The number of games Brown has played for the club since joining in 2007 shows what a lasting impact he’s had at Celtic. He’s now been at Parkhead for over 12 years and has won nine Scottish titles and five Scottish Cup crowns.
That arguably makes him one of the best captains in the club’s history – if not the best.
