Some Celtic fans have been hailing an image of Scott Brown that the club’s official Twitter account posted recently.

The Hoops have their Premiership game against Hearts later on Wednesday as they look to keep their seven-point lead at the top of the table intact. They’re also yet to lose a single game in 2020 so far.

Was Brown the greatest Celtic player of the previous decade?

Absolutely, he was the best

No, he could have been better

Ahead of Wednesday’s game, the Hoops Twitter account posted an image of the players training in the snow. But Brown was seen training with just a jersey and shorts- something no one else was doing in the cold. This left many Celtic fans raving.

Brown has been a regular under Neil Lennon in the Hoops’ midfield this season. Be it when they’ve played a 4-2-3-1 shape or a 3-5-2 like they’ve done in recent games, Brown has been a constant in defensive midfield. He has made a total of 42 appearances in all competitions for them, scoring four goals and bagging one assist.

What do we think?

Considering Brown is 34 and still going strong for Celtic, that says a lot about his longevity and ability. The Europa League has seen him make 2.6 tackles per game, with the midfielder also making two interceptions per game for the club. It shows what sort of approach he likes to take and why Celtic fans are right to hail him as a ‘different breed’.
