Some Celtic fans have been raving about midfielder Callum McGregor following his recent performances for the club and have compared him to former full-back Kieran Tierney.
McGregor was on the scoresheet for Celtic in their recent 4-0 win over Motherwell in the Premiership. Apart from the midfielder, Leigh Griffiths had scored and Odsonne Edouard had grabbed his second brace in two games.
Do you love McGregor more than Tierney
Tierney was much better
Yes, McGregor deserves it
After the game, many Hoops fans were left to rave about McGregor. When a Celtic fan posted about the midfielder on Twitter, many felt that he deserves a lot of credit for what he does for the club, while some agreed that he deserves more support than Tierney got at Celtic, following the defender’s departure to Arsenal in the summer.

McGregor is a product of the Celtic youth academy and made his debut for the club back in the 2014-15 season. He had spent the 2013-14 season on loan at then-League One side Notts County before going back to Parkhead.
This season, McGregor has made 42 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. He has a tally of nine goals and as many assists, while scoring five and assisting seven in the Premiership for the club.
What do we think?
McGregor’s impact can be measured by how he’s contributed to a total of 100 goals for Celtic in 266 appearances in all competitions. For a central midfielder to have a hand in that many goals is certainly impressive, so perhaps the fans will keep him in higher regard than Tierney as time goes by.
