Some Celtic fans have been left fuming by the performance of James Forrest after the club’s recent 4-1 win over Hamilton in the Premiership.
The Hoops are now seven points clear at the top of the Premiership table after Rangers were held to a goalless draw by Aberdeen on Saturday. Odsonne Edouard grabbed a brace, while Forrest and Christopher Jullien also grabbed a goal each for themselves on the day.
Is Forrest as bad as fans say?
He is, deserves a lot of abuse
He isn't that bad
But despite that, many Hoops fans weren’t happy at all with Forrest’s performance. They made it clear on social media soon enough.
Boys a pure fraud.

Forrest was never anything until paddy Roberts came to Celtic for 18 months potentially taking his place in the team his performance levels suddenly went up and became a great player for us , now since paddy left it’s no shock his levels have went back down again

Lennon says “Forrest was outstanding” – obviously Lennon did not mean James Forrest. Goal aside, James Forrest was anonymous.

So far this season, Forrest, who is valued at £4.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), has made 38 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. 23 of them have come in the Premiership, where he has racked up an impressive tally of 10 goals and as many as 13 assists for the side.
Last season was a productive one for the midfielder, too. He made 56 appearances in all competitions for the club, recording a tally of 18 goals and also had 20 assists to his name for the Parkhead-based outfit.
Forrest is a product of the Celtic youth academy and made his debut for the club back in the 2009/10 campaign, playing two Premiership games in that season.
What do we think?
Forrest’s numbers should easily make up for any poor displays. Celtic fans should not read too much into potential bad performances and seek some positivity from his impressive number of goals and assists.
