Some Celtic fans are fearing that the club will sell striker Odsonne Edouard whenever the right bid comes in for the Frenchman.
The Hoops recently picked up an impressive 4-0 win over Motherwell in the Premiership. It saw Edouard grab a brace, with Leigh Griffiths and midfielder Callum McGregor also grabbing a goal each for themselves.
Should Edouard sign a new deal at Celtic?
Yes, for his own good
No, we need money from his sale
After the game, many Hoops fans were discussing Edouard. @Celtic Gossip posted about him on Twitter and many fans now feel that the striker will be offloaded by the club soon.
He’s gone in the summer, it’s inevitable. He could be the new Henrik but We’ll just take the £50M instead.

He’s worth 50 million then we can use 5mill for another striker and 45m for the chairman bonus

Heard a whisper PSG are keen on having him back but are happy for him to develop with us. Purchase and loan back for #10ira?

We know he will go… however…. a new bumper contract with an understanding that if a £30m+ bid comes in, is the absolute best we can hope for.
If we don’t, he will be sold in the summer as his contract is up at the end of the 2021 season.

Edouard, who is valued at £13.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), had joined Celtic from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2018 for a club-record fee of £9 million. He had spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Parkhead, playing in the same team as Moussa Dembele.
This winter transfer window saw Edouard draw links with a move to Monaco. But the Hoops rejected that offer from the French giants. The same report also talked of interest from Borussia Dortmund to sign the French striker.
Since the January transfer window has slammed shut, Edouard has played two Premiership games, scoring a total of four goals and recording one assist.
What do we think?
Edouard’s tally of 23 goals and 16 assists in just 37 games in all competitions is exceptional. It is no wonder numbers like that have attracted attention from bigger clubs and considering Leicester City are also reportedly interested in him, it might be a matter of time before Celtic get the chance to sell him.
