Some Celtic fans have been left to dream about a potential striker pairing of Odsonne Edouard and Moussa Dembele.
The Bhoys recently picked up an impressive 4-1 win over Hamilton in the Premiership, creating a seven-point lead over Rangers after the Gers were held to a 0-0 draw by Aberdeen in their game at the weekend. The game saw Edouard grab a brace, while James Forrest and Christopher Jullien also got a goal each.
Who was better: Dembele or Edouard?
Edouard is better
Dembele all day long
Edouard’s goals made many Hoops wonder about how things would have been if he and former striker Dembele played together for Celtic. Hoops fan Kieran Caw posted about it recently on Twitter.
Still depresses me when I think about it. Would have been magical

We’d be doing what Liverpool are doing…without the draw.

I’m sure Brendan had the 2 of them per season last season against I think standard liege and they looked dynamite.

So far this season, Edouard has made 36 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. He has scored 21 times in all competitions for the club, with 17 of them coming in the Premiership.
Last season, he made 52 appearances in all competitions. He racked up an impressive tally of 22 goals and he also got eight assists for the side.
As for Dembele, he left the club in the summer of 2018 when he joined Lyon. In his last season for the club, the Frenchman scored 16 times in all competitions and also got nine assists for Celtic.
What do we think?
For Lyon, Dembele has scored 18 goals in all competitions this season. It shows that Celtic have arguably been key to the development of two of the best young strikers for France. While they were not at Celtic together for long, they can link up for the French national team, which may give fans a glimpse of what might have been.
