Celtic signed Elhamed from Israeli outfit Hapoel Be’er Sheva for a reported £1.6 million fee in the summer.
So far this season, the defender has made 13 senior appearances in all competitions for the club. He has made only four Premiership appearances, with four coming in the Europa League.
Elhamed is currently valued at £810k by Transfermarkt.
What do we think?
Elhamed has not made a first-team appearance in the Premiership for the Hoops since playing 11 minutes against Kilmarnock early in the campaign. He had sustained a muscle injury in the middle of the season which saw him ruled out of action for a total of 14 games.
Despite being fit, he hasn’t been in the squad for a single Premiership game this year. In that sense, getting some minutes under his belt through the reserves is a good idea to get back on track. And Celtic fans have every reason to be happy about it.
