Some Celtic fans have let their opinions known about the transfer of former Hoops player Efe Ambrose to Livingston.

STV journalist Raman Bhardwaj recently posted about Ambrose’s transfer on Twitter. He reported that the player has now joined Livingston on an 18-month deal till the end of the 2020-21 Premiership campaign. He has arrived at the club on a free transfer.

Would you have liked Ambrose back at Celtic?

Yes, all day!

Many Hoops supporters reacted when the news broke. They were mostly positive and seem fans of their former player.

Ambrose joined Celtic from Ashdod in the summer of 2012. In March 2017, he was loaned out to Hibernian but that move was made permanent that summer when the Nigerian moved on a free transfer.

His stint at Celtic was the most productive of his career. He managed to make as many as 169 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops, scoring six goals and getting 10 assists as well.

Ambrose was with Hibs in the Premiership last season, making 21 league appearances for the club.

What do we think?

Celtic fans seem happy about the move. And they should be, considering how a former star is returning to Scotland once again. The number of times he played for them shows that he indeed did leave a lasting impact on the minds of Hoops fans. The 4th of March will be a big occasion, considering Ambrose could well face his former club in that game.
