Some Birmingham City fans have been sharing their frustration on social media following Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Millwall, with some claiming that they were ‘robbed’ of all three points.
The frustration being shown by some Birmingham City fans in the wake of this past Wednesday’s game comes after Blues left-back Kristian Pedersen scored a goal that was “controversially disallowed”, as Birmingham centre-back Harlee Dean was deemed to have been “pushing” opposition players during the build-up for the goal.
Blues manager Pep Clotet has shared similar frustration to some Blues supporters following their recent 0-0 draw. The Spaniard has claimed that refereeing decisions have cost his side points this season, stating that if VAR were being used in the Championship, his Birmingham side would be sitting “much higher” on the league table than they are at present.
Many Birmingham City fans have been feeling aggrieved in the wake of Pedersen’s disallowed goal. I still have no idea why this goal was disallowed and if that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know about referees in this league I don’t know what does. #bcfc

What do we think?
With the only goal of the game being disallowed, it may be fair for some Blues fans to claim that the referee’s decision cost them two extra points versus Milwall. Had they taken three points from Wednesday’s game, Birmingham would have leapfrogged QPR to put themselves into 13th place on the Championship table, level on points with 12th-placed Sheffield Wednesday.
While it may be fair for some Blues supporters to feel aggrieved at losing out on an opportunity to advance up the table, they will have another opportunity to overtake QPR this Saturday as they take on the R’s at Loftus Road, in what may be an important game for Birmingham’s season as they look to break into the top half of the table.
