Would you like to see Xande Silva given a run of games in the first team? No, he's not ready for it yetYes, he's going to be class |
The 22-year-old joined the club on a three-year deal in the summer of 2018 in a transfer from Liga NOS side, Vitoria Guimaraes (as per Sky Sports).
Since his arrival he has made just two appearances for the Hammers’ first team (per Transfermarkt), leaving many keen to see more of the attacker.
Can we not swap the U23’s with our so called 1st team?
Can they be any worse?

When will the 1st team give these fellas their place in the 1st team? They seem to play better than them already!! Championship football is knocking on the door!! Some really tough games coming up that will see us cemented to the bottom yet again!!

Good to see Xande Silva back fit and firing for the U23 side after a long absence through serious injury – the U23 side are full of youth players full of energy and confidence that is massively missing in first team. Some of these players should have featured. Cardoso especially.

What do we think?
As some West Ham supporters alluded to, the Portuguese attacker has had a torrid time with injuries since his arrival from the Portuguese first division (via football.london).
Hopefully, his troubles are now behind him and after some minutes with the Under-23s to get back to match sharpness, he can begin to make his mark in the first team.
