Last night Xande Silva was in the lineup for West Ham United’s U23s as the side took on Stoke City’s U23 team in the Premier League 2. The game finished as a 2-2 draw, with Silva scoring the opening goal from a ridiculous angle.
Silva was awarded a 9/10 rating for his performance by football.london and they admitted that the player’s performance sends a message to David Moyes.
When @COYIrons_com shared the news of Silva’s goal with the West Ham fans, they were thrilled. They have high hopes for him in the future, with many responding to the tweet suggesting that he should be integrated into the West Ham first-team right now. One thinks he should start on Wednesday.
Play him on Wednesday!

We’ve got to him a go some time soon surely? Try pairing him and Haller/Antonio up front.

First team I hope

Give him a chance. Can’t do any worse than Haller

I would start putting him in the 1st team and give him some game time

In the first team!

One fan, however, admits that Silva isn’t quite ready to make the jump to the first-team quite yet.
I was over there last night and Xande has a bright future but he has a long way to go!

Would you gift Xande Silva a first-team run?
Yes
No
What do we think?
While the player might not be ready right now, there are many who hope to see him playing for the first team soon. With the Hammers currently sitting in a relegation spot, David Moyes may be tempted to try something new in order to keep his side afloat in the league.
He’s only appeared in two games for the West Ham first-team since joining, but he could yet build on that.
