This week, Ben Davies shared a story on social media indicating that he was set to rejoin Tottenham’s first-team training. The player sustained an injury against West Ham back in late November and hasn’t been fit since.
When the news of Davies’ progress was shared on Twitter by Daily Hotspur and Last Word on Spurs, the fans were thrilled. They think the Welshman’s return will be a huge boost to Jose Mourinho. Some fans admit that they didn’t realise how much he would be missed. Another is excited to see how both Davies and Japhet Tanganga fit into the same starting eleven.
Excellent news

I have to say I am excited for him to be back playing. I feel we have missed him a lot and more than we thought.

Should Ben Davies start when fit?
Yes
No
What do we think?
Hopefully, Davies is back to match fitness sooner rather than later. If he can return for either Spurs’ next Premier League match against Aston Villa or their UEFA Champions League clash against RB Leipzig, it will be a huge sign of his commitment to getting back on the field. With less than a week before the side’s next match, however, expecting Davies to be fully match-fit might be unrealistic.
