Spurs fans were devastated to hear that Heung-Min Son is set for a spell on the sidelines after fracturing his arm in the weekend win over Aston Villa.

Alasdair Gold has stated that the time frame for Son is “anywhere from six to 12 weeks”.

He also went on to state that – “Mourinho fearing it’s the latter, the club hoping it’s closer to the former. All on how he recovers after this week’s surgery.”

It comes as a big blow for Jose Mourinho’s side, who are already without Harry Kane as he remains sidelined due to the hamstring injury he suffered in January.

The 27-year-old winger had hit six goals in his last five games for the North London club and his injury couldn’t have come at much of a worse time for Mourinho, as he prepares to face RB Leipzig in midweek before Saturday’s trip to Stamford Bridge to face top-four rivals Chelsea. The news was also shared by Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold, who suggested the time frame for his injury could be anywhere between six and 12 weeks.

Reaction from Spurs fans to Son’s injury can be seen in the tweets below.

These Spurs fans are clearly frustrated with the update on Son, with several fans commenting that the season is over.

What do we think?

Son being injured is obviously a big loss for Spurs, considering the £72 million rated man has contributed 16 goals and eight assists in all competitions so far this season but perhaps this will allow Ryan Sessegnon to make an impact further forward.
