Spurs fans were devastated to hear that Jose Mourinho has suggested that Heung-Min Son could be out for the rest of the season after fracturing his arm in the weekend win over Aston Villa.
According to Jonathan Veal on Twitter, the Portuguese manager revealed in Tuesday’s press conference that he is not counting on the South Korean winger making another appearance this season. The 27-year-old was injured in the win at Villa Park on Sunday but went on to score a late winning goal which has left the North London club just one point behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man has been in excellent form so far this season; averaging a 7.37 rating in all competitions for the North London club. Considering the injury to fellow forward Harry Kane, Spurs are now looking extremely thin in terms of goalscoring options, with Dele Alli the next top scorer with just seven goals in the Premier League.
Do you think Son will play again this season?YesNo |

We’re doomed!

Cursed club. Don’t help ourselves with transfer strategy though. Now we will rush Kane back again and probably ruin him for the summer for England. Joke. How hard is it to buy a striker when we’ve sold janssen and released Llorente

These Spurs fans are clearly devastated with the news on Son and will be hoping to see him back fit before the end of the season.
What do we think?
Mourinho may well just be playing mind games here, as a fractured arm seems unlikely to rule someone out for the rest of the season (per Harvard Health). However, if the North London club is without the South Korean for the next few months, then finishing in the top-four could prove to be a real struggle, unless the likes of Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura can start firing on all cylinders.
