Fans of Tottenham have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Daily Hotspur highlights comments made by the agent of Emil Forsberg, who suggests of a potential summer move for the 28-year-old.
Forsberg, who arrived at current club RB Leipzig from Malmo in 2015, has scored nine goals and provided three assists in his 24 appearances for the German side this season.
However, more recently, Forsberg has prominently been used from the bench, leading him to become frustrated with his situation at Leipzig, and thus eyeing up potential suitors for a summer move – as per SportBild via SportExpressen.
Arsenal, Everton, Leicester, Manchester United and Tottenham are all reportedly interested in the £25.2 million-rated left-winger, however, following recent comments from Forsberg’s agent, it appears that Spurs are winning the race to sign the 28-year-old.
Last week, he stated (via SportExpressen): “I can say this: everyone will soon see what will happen to Forsberg. Nothing that surprises me at all. Mourinho is a great legend who has worked with Lindelof as well.”
In reaction to the news, Spurs fans have taken to social media, with many criticising the club for prioritising the transfer of a midfielder rather than a striker.

For a minute I thought he played up front. Phew! We’ve got enough strikers but we could do with another midfielder…

What do we think?
Tottenham are currently experiencing something of an injury crisis, with both Harry Kane and Heung-min Son potentially out for the rest of the season, on top of Jose Mourinho stating that youth prospect Troy Parrott is not ready for first-team football. They are currently extremely short of options in attack.
With this in mind, it is clear that Spurs fans think a sensible idea would be to prioritise the signing of a striker, rather than another midfielder, an area in which Tottenham already have plenty of depth.
