Spurs fans were delighted to hear some quotes from Japhet Tanganga about his role in Jose Mourinho’s side.
The 20-year-old defender spoke to the club about his time in the first-team under Mourinho, saying: “I’m there to work, to do what the manager needs me to do… When called upon by the manager, whether it’s to start, be on the bench and come on, or not to be in the squad, I’ve just always got to be ready.” (via TranSPURS)
The Spurs academy graduate made his Premier League debut in the 1-0 loss to Liverpool last month and won over fans and staff alike with his performance; earning a 7.38 rating for his display. Since then, the versatile defender has been a regular in Mourinho’s squad and has shown himself capable of playing in various positions across the defence.

These Spurs fans clearly loved Tanganga’s quotes and want to see him continue to improve under Mourinho.
What do we think?
It is great to see Tanganga, who is valued at £720k (as per Transfermarkt), clearly willing to do whatever he needs to do in order to stay in the side and his commitment will surely impress Mourinho.
