Spurs fans have flocked to a tweet from Ryan Sessegnon following the 3-2 FA Cup replay win over Southampton on Wednesday night.

The 19-year-old tweeted following the game discussing the performance, as well as the injury suffered by James Ward-Prowse, who was stretchered off in the first half. The former Fulham man has struggled to establish himself in the Spurs side since joining in the summer, with the youngster making just eight starts in all competitions, though he has been a regular under Jose Mourinho in the FA Cup.

With new signing Steven Bergwijn unavailable, it was no surprise to see the England U21 international given the nod by Mourinho and he produced a solid display; earning a 7/10 rating from Football.london. The youngster showed his attacking intent as a left-wing back against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side and was also praised for his defensive ability.
