Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that Harry Kane’s recovery is going better than expected, with the England international potentially back playing in the next six weeks.
According to The Sun (via The Spurs Web), the 26-year-old is planning to play for England in the Euros during the summer and believes he could be back even sooner than the six-week prediction.
The North London club failed to sign a backup to the striker during the January transfer window and following the injury to Heung-Min Son earlier this month, they have looked rather toothless in attack – attempting just five shots during last week’s defeat to Chelsea.
So far this season, Kane has scored 17 goals in all competitions for the Lilywhites and could be a huge influence for Jose Mourinho should he return before the end of the Premier League season.
Which do you think is the best scenario for Kane?
Get him back fit asap
Rest him for next season
Reaction from Spurs fans to the news on Kane can be seen in the tweets below.
I’d rather let him get fully fit than rush him for him to get injured longer again

Just rest until next season.
Harry Kane will destroy his career coming back too soon. This season is a right off for Spurs anyway. Who cares about England?

The circle continues! Comes back early. Flogged by us, flogged by England all summer, no break, injured again mid next season.

Not again

Forget England. He should be focussing on being the best shape possible for Spurs at the start of 2020/21.

Just let him rest. Wish he wouldn’t play Euros either

These Spurs fans seem to agree that Kane should ensure he is well-rested and fully recovered in time for next season rather than rushing back to get himself fit.
What do we think?
If Kane is desperate to play for England at the Euros, then you imagine he will make sure he is fit to do so, but in the long-term, it may not be the best thing for his career. Hamstring injuries can often cause future problems, as Michael Owen discussed when the 26-year-old first suffered the injury in January.
