Spurs fans were delighted to hear that Troy Parrott is expected to sign a new contract with the club this week.
According to Football Insider, the 18-year-old will sign a deal until 2023 with the North London club. The young striker has caught the eyes of Spurs fans with his performances in the youth teams this season, most notably when he grabbed four goals in a 9-2 demolition of Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Youth League.
Despite making just two appearances for the senior side, Parrott’s performances attracted the interest of Mick McCarthy, with the Republic of Ireland manager handing him his international debut in a 3-1 win over New Zealand in November. However, although Harry Kane suffered an injury in January that could keep him out until April, Mourinho is yet to trust the 18-year-old to spearhead his attack, though a new contract could well change that.
Will Parrott get more first team chances after he signs?

These Spurs fans are clearly delighted with the news on Parrott and will be hoping to see him get more regular game time.
What do we think?
It is good news that Spurs have tied down Parrott to a new deal, especially considering the reported interest in him from clubs abroad. Hopefully, he will feature more regularly for Spurs now he has committed his future to the club.
