Spurs fans were treated to a video of Steven Bergwijn tracking back and making an excellent tackle during the 2-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday.
The 22-year-old was making his Spurs debut in the win over Pep Guardiola’s side and impressed fans not just with his excellent goal but also with his work rate and effort, which helped him to a 7.53 rating. The video from Spurs shows the January signing tracking back and making a tackle on City’s Kyle Walker, showing off his excellent pace in the process.
Bergwijn had made an excellent start to the season in the Eredivise; averaging an impressive 7.52 rating and he continued that form into his first performance in the Premier League. If the Dutch international can keep up that level of performance and desire, he will surely quickly become a fans favourite at the North London club.

These Spurs fans clearly loved the video of Bergwijn and will be hoping to see the 22-year-old produce more performances like his debut in the next few weeks.
What do we think?
For Bergwijn to catch up with Kyle Walker, who was regarded by many as one of the fastest players in the league, is seriously impressive and Spurs fans look to have every right to be excited about their new number 23.
