Spurs fans have flocked to a tweet from Dele Alli following the 3-2 win over Aston Villa on Sunday.
The 23-year-0ld tweeted saying: “Another big result! Great to see this man back out there.” It featured a photo of himself and Ben Davies, who made his first appearance since November at Villa Park. The Welshman had been out with an ankle injury but impressed on his return to the first team, earning an 8.13 rating from WhoScored.
Alli received a lot of criticism on his Twitter post, however, as the England international struggled to impress in Sunday’s win, earning a disappointing 6.48 rating for his performance. The former MK Dons man has 61 goals and 53 assists in 213 games for the North London club, but it seems as if a lot of fans are questioning the midfielder after his recent disappointing displays.

These Spurs fans clearly feel that Alli isn’t in the best form and want to see an improved performance from the 23-year-old when the North London club face RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.
What do we think?
It is disappointing to see so many Spurs fans critical of Alli’s performance on his Twitter account, especially considering the midfielder has averaged an impressive 7.02 rating in the Premier League this season. Hopefully, the Englishman will have a better time of things at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday night.
