Spurs fans have been criticising Dele Alli after he made his frustrations clear following his substitution during their 1-0 defeat by RB Leipzig on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old threw his boots in frustration as he was replaced in the second half of the Champions League tie, as can be seen in the video originally posted on Twitter by a Spurs fan, before being shared with fans via The Spurs Web. The former MK Dons man struggled to have much influence on the game against Julian Nagelsmann’s side, earning a disappointing 6.21 rating for his performance from WhoScored.
So far this season, the England international has averaged an impressive 7.02 rating for his performances in the Premier League but the creative midfielder was effectively shut out of the game by the Bundesliga title hopefuls. It was no surprise, therefore, to see Alli frustrated, perhaps more with his own performance than the substitution itself, when he was replaced in the second half.

These Spurs fans clearly weren’t impressed by Alli’s antics following his substitution, with several fans suggesting that the club should try and sell him in the summer.
What do we think?
If you interpret this video as Alli being frustrated with his own performance then it is perhaps a good thing, as it shows that the £81 million-rated man cares and clearly feels he can play better.
