Some Tottenham fans provided some amusing reactions to an image of Harry Winks posing with David Beckham, which recently circulated on Twitter.
The image depicts Winks alongside Beckham as the England legend recently paid a visit to Tottenham’s ‘Hotspur Way’ training ground facility. The former winger had previously visited the Tottenham training ground as recently as this past May. Spurs and Beckham currently share a connection via Beckham’s role as ‘global ambassador’ for AIA, who currently act as Tottenham’s shirt sponsors.
Some fans even speculated whether Beckham’s meeting with Winks could have anything to do with the 44-year-old’s role as owner and president of MLS club Inter Miami.

What do we think?
The replies to this tweet are amusing, however, for Winks, the opportunity to meet the former England captain may simply have been one he will have relished. Winks would have been just six years old when Beckham captained England at the 2002 World Cup finals. To now stand beside him as a fellow senior England international is likely a proud experience.
Current England captain and Winks’ Spurs teammate Harry Kane has spoken of Beckham as being a “role model” of his growing up, as he may have been for many of the Three Lions’ current squad. Any words of wisdom he can impart on a visit to the training ground will likely be highly valued by the likes of Winks.
