Alasdair Gold confirmed this week that Danny Rose is likely to have played his last game for Spurs, after joining Newcastle United on loan during the transfer window.

In a Q&A session with Spurs fans on Twitter, Gold answered one question from a fan which asked whether Danny Rose has played his last game for the North London club. In his article for Football.London, the journalist replied saying:

“I think so.”

He continued: “Danny Rose has been unhappy at Spurs, the club want him out and this Newcastle loan is the perfect solution. Steve Bruce has already indicated that he would look to bring in the left-back permanently in the summer if the loan goes well.

“Rose has made his opinions clear on leaving the club before his contract ends before but he added the caveat that that was as long as his manager wants him. Mourinho doesn’t.”

TIF Tactics:

Rose made the move to Tyneside in last month’s transfer window having played just 16 times in all competitions for the North London club earlier in the season. The 29-year-old reportedly had a bust-up with Jose Mourinho over his playing time and despite reassuring fans that he would see out his contract with the club in an interview last year, he departed for Newcastle and it seems as if he could have played his last game for the Lilywhites.

The £18 million-rated England international has made 214 appearances for Spurs having progressed from their academy, so it is a shame that he will most likely leave having seemingly poisoned his relationship with the club and its fans.
