Some Southampton fans have been left to mock a sponsorship post that the club sent out on Twitter recently.
The Saints’ Twitter account recently announced a partnership with One Water. They have now become the club’s official bottled water provider. The official statement goes onto state that both the parties will combine to ‘support the fight’ against water poverty.
Should Southampton sign a CB in the summer?
Yes, no question about it
No, we're alright without one
When the Southampton account posted this article on Twitter, it left many Saints fans to mock the announcement.
Can it play as CB?

I’ve never been more thrilled. As a youngster I used to wonder when we’d take that leap and secure an official bottled water partner. I’m over the moon!

Can it play in defence?

As things stand, the Saints are 12th in the Premier League table and have let in as many as 48 goals in the whole campaign so far. That is currently the second-worst record in the division ahead of relegation-threatened Aston Villa.
So far, Jack Stephens and Jan Bednarek have been the regulars at the back for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men. Bednarek has made 24 Premier League appearances, while Stephens has made 18. 27-year-old Jannik Vestergaard though has played only 13 league games.
What do we think?
The numbers clearly show that Southampton need shoring up at the back and it has let them down in the campaign. In that sense, Saints fans are right to mock the sponsorship announcement as the signing of a new central defender.
