A lot of Newcastle United fans have reacted to a report claiming they are interested in signing Celtic star Odsonne Edouard.
The Daily Record claims that Newcastle, Manchester United and Everton are interested in signing the Celtic striker who has scored 25 goals in all competitions this season.
Would Edouard be a good signing for Newcastle?
Yes, anything is better than what we currently have
No, not proven in a top league
The Frenchman is valued at around £30m by the Bhoys, and if the Toon want him, then they will have to fight off competition.
However, these Newcastle fans had their say:
Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is attracting interest from Newcastle United, Everton and Manchester United. Edouard, 22, netted his 25th goal of the season for Celtic on Sunday. He also has 17 assists in 41 outings. Price likely to be around £30M. #NUFC https://t.co/AJhJ9bR6jI

Other Toon supporters think that even if they did manage to sign the Celtic striker, he would barely get a chance to score.
No striker worth his salt would want to sign for us let’s be honest. They barely get a kick

let’s hope he’s not seen us play ? do you think anyone would actually want to come play for this manager? unless it was there last option (the three loans in january for instance)

What do we think?
Edouard has scored an incredible 58 goals in 122 appearances for the Bhoys, and maybe now it is time for him to test himself in a bigger league than the SPFL.
If Newcastle were ambitious enough to make a move for him in the summer, then they could be signing a natural goalscorer.
However, it seems the fans feel there is a long way to go before any of that happens.
