A lot of Newcastle United fans have reacted to a piece in the Chronicle about six players that the Toon could sign in the summer – and it has not gone down well with many Toon fans, who feel that this is all made up.
The players in the article include Danny Rose, Said Benrahma, Alfredo Morelos and Franck Kessie.
Will Newcastle spend money in the summer?
Yes
No
However, none of these Toon fans believe any of it.

What do we think?
Given that the January transfer window has only just closed, it feels a bit early to be talking about what the Toon might do in the summer, especially considering they don’t know what league they will be in yet.
Newcastle are seven points clear of the relegation zone – so they should be safe, but you never know in football.
In terms of transfers, the Toon have broken their transfer record twice since last January – first with the signing of Miguel Almiron, and then the deal to bring Joelinton to the club, so the board have spent money recently.
However, it must be remembered that before the signing of Almiron, the Magpies’ record transfer was Michael Owen from 2006.
It is therefore understandable why these Toon fans do not believe that their club will spend any money in the summer.
