A lot of Newcastle United fans have rushed to Tim Krul’s post after he started in Norwich City’s 0-0 draw with the Toon.
The Dutchman, who is valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt, made a big save to deny Joelinton in the first half (0:52), but other than that had very little to do as Newcastle struggled to break the Canaries down.
Who is the better goalkeeper?
Krul

Dubravka

However, he did receive a good reception from the home crowd, and after the match, he thanked the Toon fans.
This went down brilliantly on Twitter with these Newcastle supporters who were happy to see Krul back.
And a Big Thank you to all the Geordies today for the amazing reception before the game and even more so after..

What do we think?
At one point in the match, Krul’s name rang around St James’ Park as the Toon worshipped a player who made 185 appearances for them from when he made his debut in 2006.
At one point, Krul was one of the Premier League’s best goalkeepers, but injuries and a lack of form saw him decline.
However, at Norwich, Krul has been revitalised, and though the Canaries could be relegated, it is good to see that Krul has returned to his best.
