Xherdan Shaqiri’s departure from Liverpool is inevitable is summer, with injuries and the team growing without him leading to a likely exit. [@IanDoyleSport]https://t.co/27elH5VNNs

Wish him nothing but the best .. his contribution last season against Barcelona will be always special and his 2 goals vs United at Anfield as well .

I, for one, would be very sorry to see Shaq go, but if he’s not going to figure in the boss’s plans he deserves to be somewhere he’ll get game time. He’s never given us less than 100% commitment for every minute of his Liverpool career.

Don’t think he’s been bad whenever he’s got time to play …
Might not really make a difference in the short / long term , but I’m sure we all would have a part of us say that we wish he stays …— vibhor dudeja (@vibhordudeja) February 26, 2020
The winger, who is currently valued at £19.8 million according to Transfermarkt, signed to the Merseyside club in the 2018 summer transfer window. Since then, the Swiss international has gone on to make just 40 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and providing five assists (per Transfermarkt).
Since his arrival at Anfield, Shaqiri has been plagued by injury issues that have affected his time in the team. Now that news has come out that the 28-year-old could be set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, this has given lots of Reds fans the opportunity to share their feelings on the unlucky winger.
I feel for him, I like big Shaq and we haven’t even got to see a trademark big Shaq banger from outside the box

Absolutely gutted to see him leave. Such a humble one. Was never appreciated enough ?

Seems like JK just doesn’t really fancy him. Shame I like him and think he’s always given everything when he’s had him game time but I guess the manger knows a bit more about football than I do ??? ?

Oh no we’ll try and find him
— Liv (@livi_jay) February 27, 2020
It will be a shame. He’s a great little player.

What do we think?
It’s good to see so many Liverpool fans being positive towards Shaqiri and recognising his efforts at the club despite not always being a consistent starter. If Shaqiri does leave Anfield in the summer and joins a different club, hopefully for him he can get more game time and keep his fitness up.
